VFW Auxiliary of Hiawassee is in need of Food and Toiletry donations for Operation Care Package. All donations go to our overseas troops.

Food Items such as, crackers, granola bars, gum, mints, oatmeal, ETC.

Toiletries such as hand loation, baby wipes, feminine products, shampoo, ETC

Andrews Veterinary Clinic will be hosting the Paws-a-Palooza event for Valley River Humane Society at Heritage Park, 1575 Main Street, Andrews, NC, on Saturday, September 28th, from 11am to 4pm. There will be concessions, raffles, auction, & bounce house. VRHS dog adoption fees will be reduced to $45 which includes spay/neuter, micro-chip, vaccines, leash & harness, & lots of love.

Brasstown Manor is Currently Hiring!

Admission: $5 for adults, $3 for ages 12-17, and free for children under 12.

Applications for craft and food vendors will be available in March.


The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall

Welcome to The Traveling Wall Oct 3rd-7th. 
Our Wall is a 3/5 scale of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington DC, it stands six feet tall at the center and covers almost 300 feet from end to end.
This Traveling Memorial stands as a reminder of the great sacrifices made during the Vietnam War. It was made for the purpose of helping heal and rekindle friendships and to allow people the opportunity to visit loved ones in their home town who otherwise may not be able to make the trip to Washington.

Aviators Café!

Take Flight with James and the crew at The Aviator Café at their new location in the brand new Sears Shopping Center in Blairsville! Don't worry, they still have all of your favorite Aviator classics  (Buffalo Chicken Quesadillas, Sunrise Wrap, Avocado BLT Wrap and soups) plus a whole bunch more! They have now added burgers, fries, the Coca-Cola Freestyle drink machine (with almost any drink combo you can imagine) as well as Cold Pressed Nitrogen Infused Coffee, you heard that right.. coffee? The Aviator Cafe is now serving breakfast!

Downtown Market Blue Ridge.. 8 a.m. until noon. Setting up each Saturday April-October in front of the court house, weather permitting. They will have lots of wonderful vendors this year offering local honey, baked goods, produce, handmade arts and crafts, hand crafted furniture and much more.
